Order Process UI Design: Microsoft and Apple
Today, Microsoft opens pre-orders for the Microsoft Surface Tablet. I just want to quickly comment on the UI design of the order screen of their online store, and compare it with the market leader of tablets, Apple.
This is not a criticism, as I want to see their tablet succeed. I believe some diversity in the tablet market is a good thing for innovation and for everyone.
But seriously Microsoft, who authorized this UI design? Do you think it’s up to par with the competition? Is the price clearly legible? Do you think it’s wise to place the ‘popular add-ons’ so high up on the page?
I hope someone over at Microsoft will reevaluate this design in an effort to increase the success of this product.
