Ikea Uppleva Smart TV Enters The Market Ahead of Apple

I wasn’t expecting this at all but Ikea just announced their new Uppleva Smart TV. The Uppleva is a LED HDTV, is WiFi and internet ready, includes a Blu-ray/DVD/CD player, USB connectivity, and has 2.1 sound with a wireless subwoofer. It will be available in late June 2012 in a number of colours and sizes, and starts at about $1000.
